Today, the temperature was significantly higher: 2 degrees C. Lots of snow melted overnight and now the ground is wet, has ice and snow. The ice is extremely slippery, nearly fell down a few times, but fortunately, I did not.
I went downtown with Jukka-Pekka and 2 other new Polish students. I was trying to cash in my cheque and it would cost me EUR 24 just for that. What a waste of money... It would have been a much better option to bring all the money here in cash and deposit the money rightway. Of course, just take good care of the money. Here are more shots of downtown, Oulu.
Lunch was great in the school as usual, with meat sticks, potatoes, salad, milk and water. The sauce was nice. Man, I'm hungry thinking about it. Haha.. I guess the motivation for everyday would be the lunch on campus. Hope I won't feel sick of it before I leave..
Today was our first Survival Finnish lesson. We got to say our names and we learnt some basic words. The teacher also gave us homework for today. But it's easy, just write down our aims in English.
The final significant event today was...... The return of my room mate! Turns out he is french and is here for a year. His name is Remi and he will be returning to France at the end of May. Same same.. He is a great guy and is very friendly. More about him as I get to know him in the future.
Alright, that's all for now!
