Tartiflette!

Lunch in school this afternoon

It's a really filling meal, considering how much bread and macaroni I took... Maybe I should take the side view next time. Show you the height of the macaroni I took.

It is now 3.30 am in the morning. I just showered after a great meal with Remi and his friends.. It was a Tartiflette party man.. So this post will show you how to create Tartiflett from scratch.

Step 1: Peel ALOT of potatoes and boil them till soft.
Step 2: Slice the potatoes and layer them in a glass bowl.
Get them to stand so that the cheese will melt in between them nicely

Step 3: Slice about 5 onions into tiny bits and stir fry them with good quality bacon.
No need for oil

Step 4: Layer the onions and meat onto the potatoes, then add potatoes and layer with onions and meat again.
there are 2 layers here already

Step 5: Cut the Reblochon cheese into slices.
This costs approximately EUR 20!!!

Step 6: Layer it on top of the dish.
Doesn't matter if they overlap

Step 7: Place in a pre heated oven of about 200 degrees C for about 30 min when the cheese melts completely and browns.
Perfect Tartiflette

Step 8: Enjoy with good company!

Got to lick them clean

We played a Spanish card game, Mus, after dinner. They spent about 20 minutes teaching me how to play. It was fairly easy to pick up, unlike bridge, which I have learnt for so many times...

I dunno why I am wide awake now, but I have a lesson in 5 hours time. So it's time to hit the sack. Goodnight!

Edit: Can't believe I totally forgot to mention about the whisky we had.. 1 whole bottle, gone, just like that..
