Now this feels like spring! The last traces of snow are melting away, and it's getting more comfortable being outdoors these days. The animals and bugs are also out to enjoy the sun.

It's a fat squirrel right outside my window!

If all the work I have submitted are approved, and neglecting HR and MTS which I'm probably not going to map back to NUS, I only have one lab (28th Apr) and one exam (5th May) to go before the semester is over!!! Hopefully can get the transcript by 8th May, and set off on my trip soon. Still some issues not settled yet, because Li Kang suddenly has his internship approved, and may have to return to Singapore early.

Anyway, my tentative plan is to travel from Oulu to Tampere, Milan, Rome, Barcelona, London, Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, and back to Tampere, then Oulu. The whole trip should last from 17th May to 30th May. I estimate travelling, hostels, food and misc to cost not more than EUR 1200. And if I can get a ticket from Helsinki to London on 31st May, I could be back in Singapore by the 2nd, or even the 1st of June...

Rémi's family

Rémi's parents arrived last week to visit their son. They'll be staying till this Thursday, and they're bunking in his room. Rémi has been staying with Florian.

His parents are very nice folks, lots of smiles.
A pity I can't speak French, or we would have been able to communicate properly. They do not speak any English. I think they brought everything in their fridge from France to store in here. Lots of food man..

Today they cycled downtown, and while they were there, his dad bought me a light bulb! So surprised! But I was feeling bad because I had tried replacing my light bulb with Li Kang's. It did not work, so I guessed it had something to do with the circuit breaker or something like that. And it meant that he wasted his money.

But well, since he bought it, I tried it, and was stunned when my room lit up. Doesn't make sense leh. So maybe I've got a special lamp that only likes certain bulbs... Really got to thank him again..

Can see the reflection due to the newly replaced and powerful light bulb. And the aluminium wrapper thing belongs to biscuits. :)

Saw this in Tokmanni

Ok, now his parents are back again from Prisma. Brought alot of things back again. Haha.. Rémi said that he has never seen his fridge so full before. Going to burst already lor.

These few days I've been watching Kitchen Nightmares. Absolutely entertaining show.

Stupid bulb

First time in my life I've seen a bulb blow right in front of my eyes. Just *pop*, and it's gone. Got to waste money replacing it. Sian.. I wonder how much it costs.. Typing in darkness now..

Mmm...

真好吃...

Last Friday I had my second exam in Oulu. Most probably can pass. I'd better pass it, otherwise will be very troublesome... I have another exam this coming Tuesday. Got to piah for another 2 days. Not much time left because I've been resting too much since the last paper.

And this week was probably the week when I spent the most due to shopping and frequent lunches in school.

Gordon Ramsay taught me how to cook the perfect scrambled eggs, and I must say that those were the best I have ever eaten in my life. :)
